HI everyone...

Just finished up a 02 white Corvette. Lordy---was that one very hard paint to cut!

Used the Beast with orange hybrid force pads and Blackfire One Step.

Tried various polishes---UNO, Rupes Blue and Rupes Yellow. Did not make all that much difference from Blackfire One Step. Since the job was on the low side budget wise. The One Step was perfect.

As hard as the paint was---the beast and those stout orange pads ate it all up!

As usual---I can not post here.

This is what I do. I use the BF One Step like a COMPOUND with a foam cutting pad for the major panels and if the paint is HARD continue to use the foam cutting pad for the rest of the car. For HARD paint you can get away with SHARP foam cutting pads without leaving PAD HAZE.

On soft paint, a foam cutting pad will work faster, (duh), but it will also leave pad haze. That's called hack work. The key is when selling the job, don't promise to remove all the defects in a budget package. Then you don't do stupid stuff like use a foam cutting pad over the entire car (with soft paint), and find you have to re-polish to remove the pad haze turning a one-step job into a two-step job - losing money.

Sorry to say, this software is simply outdated. There's no easy fix either. :dunno:

Tapatalk is the best option for those that don't use a traditional computer, which is over half the world if not more.

The easy way to share a picture on a forum - Tapatalk App for your cell phone (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-to-articles-by-mike-phillips/123572-easy-way-share-picture-forum-tapatalk-app-your-cell-phone.html)

As a person that shares a LOT of pictures in the forum world using the best way, which is to upload pictures to a gallery so the pictures have an actual cyber home with an actual cyber address, I completely understand that the majority of people don't know how to do this and don't have the patience or wherewithal to figure it out.

So with that said, here's the easy way, simply get the TapaTalk App on your phone. Links below for the type of phone you have.

Link for TapaTalk for iPhone (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/redirect-to/?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fapps.apple.com%2Fapp%2Fid3 07880732)

Link for TapaTalk from Google Play (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/redirect-to/?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fplay.google.com%2Fstore%2F apps%2Fdetails%3Fid%3Dcom.quoord.tapatalkpro.activ ity)

I don't have a tutorial on how to then use the App but I figure it out and if I can do it - most of you should be able to look at the interface and with a little experimenting - figure it out.

For anyone reading this that's new to car detailing. Historically, C4 and C5 Corvettes have SUPER HARD paint.

I would have to revisit a C6 and C7 with factory paint to have a definitive answer but I think these models also have hard paint.

The new C8 Corvettes have SOFT paint. See my comments here,

Thanks Mike....

When I have bit down time----will try again to learn how to use the autogeek gallery.

Have the Tapatalk and works ok. Thumbnails are too small to actually enjoy.

Again...I will give it another round. I know it's there, just keep missing something!

Working with pictures on a forum is tricky.

Unless a person is on a computer of some sort AND resized their pictures FIRST then the easiest way is to use TapaTalk.

If I had more time and the right software I would make a video on how to do both.

The world at large misses out on a lot of cool stuff simply because it's so difficult to make pictures magically appear. A monkey can do it on Facebook and Instagram but it actually takes some skill and time to do it on a forum.

Now back on topic...

Freaking amazing work my man...

By the way, I put your picture in like you see above when I'm on my computer by "right clicking" on the image, getting the URL Address and then copying and pasting the URL address in-between the image tags in code view.
