I bought this baby for cheap. It needed some love, even beyond detailing. Brakes, struts, wheel bearings, etc.

The car hadn’t been washed in over a year and kept outside. Utterly filthy. Did some serious claying.

Ran an eraser wheel on the pinstripe to remove that. Between the Pontiac cladding and chrome trim, there was a little too much happening, thought deleting that stripe would clean up the look.

Purple power heavy duty boat and RV soap
Griots Boss Foam Gun

3D bug and tar remover
3D BDX on paint
Speed master clay mitt

Flex 3401 w/ Force hybrid orange
HD Speed

I’m going to drive this till it dies!

Cool deal. My first car was a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL. I loved that car.

4 cylinder or 3.1L V6?

Thanks for sharing. I detailed a lot of early, mid, and late 90’s Grand Am’s at my dad’s dealership.

looks really great for the age and such crazy low miles. The wheels look very nice.

Wow, looks like a time capsule car.

Where are you located? Most of the cars from that era are returning to earth (Read: fatally rusting) around here...

This car has the 3.1 V6.

I am located in Michigan. Don’t get me wrong, this thing is not showroom condition. She’s got plenty of rotting happening underneath. The interior is mint, though.

Since it’s not flawless I feel better driving it as my commuter. I get a lot of props in this retro ride.

Now all I need is a Hootie and the Blowfish Cracked Rear View cassette.

My dad had a Grand Am exactly like this but in Black, still remember the day he bought it home. They were great cars! Wish Pontiac was still around.

Nice save Eric,

Being from Michigan & Minnesota I know the sound of "rust worms" at work!

Wow you got lucky and scored the new model with ABS and the badging to match. Ah the things we take for granted today. Oh, incredible work!!!!

Pretty cool! Super low mileage! Should keep running longer than the rot/rust allows it to be driven! Nicely cleaned up/restored into a neat driver! Way to score that and get it back on the road! Cool project.
