Just put on an aluminum trifold tonneau cover $$$. It is a matte black and slightly textured. What can I use to protect it? I don't care if it becomes slightly more glossy as long as it is uniform and doesn't leave white residue in the groves of the texturing.

Thanks
Chet

You might consider Carpro Dlux.

It's kind of off-label but I've had pretty good luck with Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer (not the aerosol, although that may also work) on items like that.

Besides the plastic and vinyl trim, I use it on my wiper blade arms and they are a matte black. I also use it on the factory spray-on bed liner and the tires.

On my motorcycle, I use it on the matte black handlebar controls, the tires and all of the plastic and vinyl trim.
