How to keep fabric top clean between washings

Would a California car duster work for keeping dust off the fabric convertible top? I am in AZ during the winter and there is a lot of dust flying around and would like to keep it looking good between washing.

I'm away from home now so I can't take a pic. My lint roller is many years old so I hope it is still available for purchase


EDIT: I see Chewy sells a similar Evercare lint roller. Glad to see something like mine is still being sold
