How can I tell when I have the ceramic coating fully removed?

Background
purchased a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 used recently. Owner had passed so did not get a lot of verbal history. In the paper work I found that when he purchased It in 2015 he had a Ciloget coating installed that came with a 5 year warranty. I am trying to get rid of the light scratches and brush marks.
doing a 3 step process. Clay, compound, polish and wax

Any way to be sure the coating is removed?

thanks
Dave

products using are

meguirs ultimate compound
meguiars ultimate polish
have not decided on wax or sealant yet

shou I’ve using a different product to remove?

If you are removing defects you are removing the coating. A panel wipe will not hurt.

The coating is only as good as it has been maintained. Cutting/buffing the exterior with a compound will likely remove it. A "water break test" will tell you a lot. Basically, pour water on the panel. If it does not break - i.e. bead, repel, sheet, etc. - the coating is sufficiently removed.

IMO:
The Claying/Compounding/Polishing steps, in
and of themselves, will easily ensure the total
removal of whatever remnants are left of a now
five year old Cilajet Coating.
