Chrysler was always known for some of the wildest ideas in the industry.

The mid-to late 60's +70/71 speak for themselves.

To be honest, all of the big 3 had their bad ass stuff.

But to me, nothing like MOPAR.

With the crazy colors, pistol grip shifters, AAR affiliation, cartoon character graphics, and of course some of the most powerful engines topped by the most iconic one ever, the 426 Hemi, MOPAR had the most to offer IMO.

When I’m out driving in the X5 M, there’s quite a few younger people who challenge me in suburban paradise (whether I’m interested or not). I’m usually having my son in the backseat but if I see it’s an easy victory to the next stop light, I’ll take the bait (they are the ones asking for it).

Now I’m starting to see some badass Dodge’s out there (Durango SRX, Jeep Cherokee Laredo with whatever it’s beast tag is) where the driver’s peer at me with max confidence. Now I suppose we can add a Ram to that mix. Lessons to learn: don’t assume any Chrysler/Dodge is just a normal passenger... seems like any one of them could be a Charger in functional clothing.

My Ram is just a hopped-up ST. (Express package).

Regular cab, and pretty bare boned compared to other high-end models. And, I factory ordered it that way just for that reason.

It is around 870 pounds lighter, with the same 400hp Hemi.

I routinely smoke winged ricers with fart muffler technology. Lol

The bare boned pickups are no joke. I’ll watch out for you on the road when I visit LI.

This should have been the "Little Red Express" reincarnated! Where are the vertical tail pipes? Where are the wooden slats for the bed?

Once a child of the 80's, always a child of the 80's.....

In all seriousness, I'm really surprised Ram waited this long to produce this truck. Is the Raptor on it's second generation? Hellcat equipped cars and Jeep Grand Cherokee have been on the road for a while.
