Hey all, I’d like some options on what you think this is and what could’ve possibly caused it?
It’s from the hood of a 2016 Cadillac Escalade OEM paint.

Was it ever repainted, Ric?
*EDIT* Missed the OEM paint part.
Yeah, horrible bird bomb or a chemical drop (spot)?

First pic looks like bird bomb left on for like a month. Don’t know what I’m looking for in second.

2nd pic looks like some oxidation along the trim. 1st pic, yeah, one heck of a bird bomb I'd guess. Wow. And some serious water spotting as well...

Like the others,
acidic bird dropping etching
and being that your in SoCal - full sun environment - panel affected is not only a horizontal panel but also gets all the engine heat.
Beginning clearcoat failure
