I found the Mothers Nulens kit for $15 at a local discount store, and decided I’d give it a try. The kit comes with a drill-attachable velcro backing plate, a foam ball and Mothers plastic polish. It also comes with sanding pads for correcting worse off headlights, but I got good results with just the polish and the foam ball.

I am very pleased with the results. My headlights weren’t in awful condition, but the Nulens kit brought a ton of clarity back. They’re nearly ‘like new’ again, thought there is some scuffing that the polish wasn’t able to correct.

Scuffing. Sorry for the sideways photo.

This is what the foam polishing ball looked like when I was finished.

The kit recommends spreading the polish with your drill at a low speed, but I found it easier to dab it all across the light, instead.

Overall, I would recommend this kit. I think full retail is about $20. Including setting up, quickly washing/drying, and masking the headlights, the process took about an hour to complete. Well worth it for the results. I like that the kit comes with sanding pads, though I didn’t need them. The foam ball is also reusable.

Here’s my car this morning after the headlight kit and a wash yesterday.

You said that there were some scuffing that the polish wouldn't remove. That's why they included some sand paper for this very reason.

The main thing is that you are satisfied with the job you did.:props:

Thanks for the reply. I agree about the sandpaper, but I didn’t want to push my luck, since the area with the scuffing was so small compared to the overall improvement. Maybe I’ll give it a shot in the future. :)
