Foam Pads for Marine 31 Captain's One Step Compound & Polish?

Hey guys,

I've got a 2018 Bass Tracker (aluminum fishing boat). It is in great shape, but I'd like to get some scratches and scuffs off the tops of the sides where rods, hands, etc are always touching it. My guess is that it is gel coat? The Marine 31 product seems like a really great product to try. I've got a Griot's GG6 DA. I'd love to have a Flex 3401, but it's not in the budget right now.

I need to order some new pads as my Lake Country Flat Foam Pads (5.5" and 6.5") are 4 or 5 years old now and very worn out. Would the Lake Country Flat Foam Pads work well for this application? Some of the other pads get pricey when you start ordering 6+ pads.

If it does look like the picture, that is metallic paint under clear -then I'd probably go with the Griot's Microfiber pads and BOSS white and orange foam pads.

I think all tracker bass boats have exposed aluminum.
