Would any one know how to fade paint?

My car has bad sun Damage and at this point I have to get it repainted which is too expensive.

So I thought maybe I can fade the paint my self and give it a uniform weathered look. I would like to get down to the purpleish color all around. Any ideas?

I vote for Mike's idea. Since you’ll never match, go with a satin black for a contrast.

I appreciate all the feed back! Rust-Oleum is a new two me so I’ll do some research on that.

This is what I was thinking as you can see the paint is damaged all over.

My vision is to make the the whole car the faded blueish/purpleish color with out the splotches think old old ford or Chevy with out the rust. Ive done some research on the suggested options but non seem to have that weathered vehicle look.

I’ve considered sanding the clear coat but I’m worried it won’t achieve the same look. Is there a chemical that is harsh enough to speed up the sun damage.

I know it’s a odd request I’m just hoping some one has done it before or knows of something that might help me achieve that look.

•In that case, then, IMO:
-In order to reveal the rest of this vehicle’s
paint-system’s underlying BaseCoat’s bluish/
purplish color...you’ll need to remove the
remainder of the ClearCoat paint.

-Here are a couple of chemicals that, with
due diligence, will do the deed:
