I have a 1994 Mustang (owned it since new) and it still has the original paint. I recently polished it with a Rupes LHR 15 Mark III, with a yellow Rupes pad and Meguiar's M205 (using speed 3.5). I waxed it using a Rupes white pad on speed 1 with Meguiar's ceramic hybrid wax. I am amazed with how good it turned out, I shined an extremely bright light on it and it is truly astonishing. I noticed that the Meguiar's ceramic hybrid wax does not haze (it also says that on the bottle), so it can be a bit tricky when buffing off.

I know I should have checked the paint thickness before, however checking it afterwards I notice that it ranges from 6.3 mils to 7.1 mils on the top part of the front fender and around 8.4 mils on the lower parts. Is that good or bad for a 26 year old Mustang? I am not sure if it makes a difference, the color of it is Rio Red.

Thanks for you help, it is very much appreciated!

Those are excellent readings! I'd be thrilled to see those.
