Boar's Hair Wheel Brush (https://www.autogeek.net/8inmoorbohaw.html)

Been using MOTHERS wheel brushes for years. Just wondering if the BH wheel brush is worth the upgrade?

I use Mothers as well and have no issue with it. The old adage applies here. "If it's not broke don't fix it"

Edit: I actually have a boars hair brush for my Challenger. I forgot as I have not done a traditional wash on that car in years. I do know it's very soft and would not perform well on my dd

It is very soft but I just get over the rancid smell it sometimes emitted. I’m not sure something was wrong with it as I have many boars hair lugnut brushes and they don’t bother me. Also I think it’s too soft, if you have built up dirt you really need to let the soap/cleaner you’re using to break it down because the brush has no “scrubbing” power

Edit: I’m referring to the Wheel Wollies brand

My favorite wheel brush, grill brush, engine detailing brush.

I use it for a lot of things. I could teach a class on just this brush.

Wouldn't' be without it.

I could never count how many times I've shared a picture of me using it and recommending it.

This is the one I purchased and love it. Very versatile and great quality. Not sure how the two compare vs. each other but this one is worth every penny.

I love this one.

I feel it’s better that the one you have linked.

The Mothers is indeed great but the one I have linked is softer and more gentle for delicate wheels. It also comes in handy for many other tasks. To me it is worth the extra money and they last a longggggg time.

My mistake

I didn’t click on the link in the first post - I assumed you were talking about the black brush. My mistake.

In my first reply - I’m talking about the black wheel Woolie brush.

Hard to type on phone.

Get the WW black wheel brush and never regret it.

WW one on the way. And the red handled SONAX brush for tires. Looking forward to them both.

Got to use it yesterday. Very soft brush! I can see this being ultra safe on wheels!

I have several sizes of boar's hair brushes.

Not impressed at all!

Toooooo soft to be worth anything! Trying to give them away---no one wants them!

Serious??

Anyway, my critique is the clunky plastic head should only be as big as the bristle grid and covered in rubber.
I have 1 and took a saw, file and plasti-dip to it.

Hi Tom, are you really trying to give either of these 2 brushes away? If so I’d be more than happy to pay for the shipping charges. Let me know. If not, no worries.

I have both black wheel woolies and mothers. Wheel woolies Definitely softer. I won’t use the mother’s and th WW i feel is to soft and doesn’t get inner brin clean.

If your wheel has alot of space it would be great. Wide open wheels not so much
