I have a factory hard top with black vinyl that is in good condition. However, the black has faded from the material. I have tried everything that I can think of to bring back the black shine to make it look new again. Nothing seems to work, even 303 Vinyl top and 303 Protectant dressing, left it with a splotchy look. The material just seems to suck up what ever I put on it. Suggestions on what I can use to bring the black back so the car will look good for an upcoming car show?

I tried everything on my wifes vinyl soft-top. Nothing would restore it. Part of the top ended up coming apart, so we just replaced the whole cover.
Good luck to you.

I'm guessing Black WOW Exterior Trim Restorer (http://autogeek.net/black-wow-trim-restorer.html) might work???

The vinyl might just soak all that up.
I should say I had some success with Duragloss Vinyl & Leather Dressing (UD) #201 (http://autogeek.net/duragloss-vinyl---leather-dressing.html) maybe give that a shot. I think wifes old Vinyl top was just beyond rejuvenation.

Try forever black products to hard plastic, vinyl. It is a die not a dressing

Yes, I was thinking I might have to opt for a dye for leather/vinyl to restore this back to black. I will see if anyone in town has some of the Forever Black" products. Thank you all for your help.
