So....recently applied Wolfgang SIO2 Sealant to my truck....which I'm really happy with, and I'll be giving it the first maintenance wash this weekend. I currently have Reset and P&S Pearl on the shelf. I know if seems like a stupid question, but is Reset too strong for the first maintenance wash, or doesn't it matter?

Reset is perfectly fine for anything basically. As long as you watch the dilution ratios, you should be fine.

All I use is Reset. 1oz makes 5 gals of wonderful wash.

Pearl would be just fine.

By watching dilution ratios, is sticking to 1:500 pretty safe for all LSPs?

Ya, I stick to the one ounce for the 5 gallon water. Mind you, I'm more looosey goosey with the dilution ratio because I use a coating.

Understood. I’ll be extra precise across the board, especially when washing non-coatings.

Ya, depends on the LSP and all the chemical particulars part of the LSP, something that people far more qualified than me can comment on.
