I was wondering if anyone had experience with McKee's 360 and what the expected durability is?

IME 3-4 weeks tops. Just like every other AIO I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried just about all of them.

Do you think it's ok to apply a sealant after a month or so as is?

IME trying to immediately top an AIO with a dedicated liquid sealant doesn’t work out so well, as theres simply too much interference to allow the sealant to properly bond, resulting in a breakdown of any solid protection. It was as if the AIO brought it down to its level...

However when I let it stand alone for a week or 2 [in this case HD Speed] and then began a steady topping with Beadmaker as a drying aid after every wash it worked seamlessly and that protection lasted over 6 months and I have no doubt it would’ve lasted a whole year without allowing contaminants to bond to the paint.

I’m talking baggie test passing smooth as glass paint! Real protection. BeadMaker can truly do it, but it must be used frequently. I’m still using it on my current daily driver. It’s so slick to wipedown the paint when there’s no bonded contaminants.[emoji1419]

I've use poorboys AIO, MK360 and HD speed for reference.

MK360 was the easiest to apply and the most durable. It wasn't as shiny as HD Speed. In my opinion the trade off is durability vs shine for the 2. You will get residual protection past 3 or 4 weeks, but like anything it's based on climate and use. I found good beading still 3 months later. However, I do think it's a good practice to hand wash and hit with some spray on sealant like mk 10 minute or even hydro blue.

Thanks for the replies. I'm using Hydro Blue Pro on top every other week per wash.

My parents’ car was still beading after 4-5 mo the in Syracuse spring /summer from 360. It probably was only washed a few times in that period. By far the best durability from an AIO I’ve used.

I tested 360 on a friend's car that NEVER gets washed, "waxed" or any other LSP for that matter. I washed, clayed and then applied 360. I see the car often as we worked together, and only after 9 months of NO CARE did it start to show signs of breaking down. I did a review here on AG - search and you will likely find it.

By far the most durable AIO I have ever used.

P.S. I use it 2-3 times a year on my own cars to brighten the paint and remove any imperfections. It's a perfect maintenance product once you get your paint the way you want it.

I did a Suburban a couple of years ago with 360. Vehicle is garage kept, but driven every day, and probably was washed maybe 3 times in six months after i did it. It was still beading water after those 6 months. Was easily the most durable when compared to HD Speed and Meguiars D166.

I’m going to start a 50/50 test today before the sun sets... On the big roof of the white 2014 Kia Sorento. The perfect prep, McKee’s 360 applied with a DA polisher on 1 side and my choice of sealant on the other side. Updates will be provided. Stay tuned.

I just tried it on a vehicle for the first time two weeks ago, bought it because of it's reputation for durability. We'll see how it goes. I was hoping to let it ride for a couple of months then follow up with hi-def. Really trying to keep things simple this year.

Not sure where you are, but it should last a couple months easily unless you’re in extreme climate like Arizona/Nevada (maybe would still last, but no knowledge from me).

Or the "Sunshine State"

I wasn’t sure if the humid heat was as rough on LSPs, since Nick always talked about this stuff lasting 8+ months on a car there. Figured maybe the moisture in the air absorbs some sun rays...?

Ok the test has officially started: McKee’s 37 360 AIO longevity test.

*Perfectly Prepped Surface. No corners were cut*

I started by bucket washing the entire vehicle with Megs Hyper Wash.

I substituted the claybar with a Med. Grade Nanoskin Mitt to remove any bonded contaminants.

Next step: McKee’s 37 Coating Prep Polish.

Most might consider this overkill after using a claymitt right? Take a look at this... This was a brand new applicator. I polished by Hand... And this was only Half of the roof!

Here’s the other side of the brand new applicator.

Now the roof has been fully decontaminated and prepped as good as possible.

Tape down the middle: Excuse my sloppy tape job here.. I didn’t want to waste my good Carpro tape, so I just used regular masking tape.

Drivers side gets McKee’s 37 360 AIO. Applied w/G21 on a 7” LC HD Orbital Foam Finishing Pad. Speed 4.5
I broke the drivers side of the roof into 3 sections for the application.

2nd section:

3rd and final section:

Next I applied liquid sealant onto the Passenger side while while allowing the 360 AIO a few minutes to haze up.

This is what it looked like once everything was all done. Notice the control section down the middle where the tape was laid down.

My plan is to come back in 2 weeks and test the water behavior + give it a wash. I don’t expect it to rain, nor do I really expect this vehicle to do much if any moving because of the whole quarantine...
