So check this out. I just found out that my local Carquest store carries the full line of Duragloss products. My best friend is the manager and told me that he will demo me out any Duragloss products for FREE! I have never used any DG products but I think it is safe to say that 9 out of 10 veterans on this site rave about it.

So....for you who have used any Duragloss products, what would be the BEST possible system to use? I don't want to go overboard just because it is free, but what do you think will be the best system for durability? I live in the south and the sun fries my car, it is not kept ever in a garage, and I put alot of mileage on it. Just to add one thing, all application will be applied by hand!

501 followed by 105 followed by aquawax (951 I think) = Indestructible

Other great products Ive used:
921 - fast clean and shine (QD)
461 - Ultimate Orange
681 - Glass polish

AW, 105, and their wash are must haves. Check teh dates though as CarQuest was known for carrying DG products that were way out of date.

That would be my choice...501 to really deep clean the paint and leave a sealant also...and 105 to give it the looks..and AW a few days later ...

so several you say to use the 501 - that is a marine polish. would you say that is the best cleaner? better that the 601? I know the 601 is a bonding agent but I dont think it cleans well.

What i think is best is if i use the best cleaner they offer, then maybe 601 to bond, then top with the 105 2 coats. How is this?

The Marine stuff works great on cars. The products I use are 501, 601, 105 and AW. When I run out of the soap I have now, I am getting a gallon of the car wash (901). You will absolutely love them...the protection is just an added bonus. I love the look it gives.

You have to get Marine detailer (521). Its the same as FC&S but has more cleaners and has anti-static properties also.

Totally agree on 501, 105, 521 and AW. I put a shot of AW in my 521 QD and it works great. I'm going to try the 501 with a PC for grins but these products are easily applied by hand.

Ive done a few with 501 and a white pad with rotary and udm: worked just great and seemed to have even more cleaning power.

thanks for the suggestions, I get a strong impression the 501 marine polish is some good stuff after so many suggest using this. This is my confusion, it seems many of you think the 501 is the best cleaner, but I DG staff is saying something different. I shot an email over to DG staff, here is the system they say works best overall for durability:

1.Part# 901, Car Wash Concentrate – Wash and dry your car.
2.Part# 671, Swirl Mark Remover – Apply a thin coat for swirl marks and to remove oxidation. Allow to haze and remove with a soft cloth.
3.Part# 601, Polish Bonding Agent – Apply to entire vehicle and leave on. This reacts chemically with the polish and will double the durability. The polish will be applied over top of this.
4.Part# 105, Total Performance Polish, Apply over the 601, let haze and remove with a soft cloth.
Part# 921, Fast Clean & Shine and #951 Aquawax are great products to use inbetween polishing. Helps to make the shine last even longer!!

These steps will give a long lasting durable shine and protection.

Sounds like the staff is recommending the swirl remover for correction. Makes sense. I too have read many positive reviews of 501, but in none of them do users speak to it's correction abilities.

The advice given you by the DG staff is actually not that different than what everyone here is telling you. DG is simply recommending a correction step. You asked us what would be the best product combination from this line. The response is practically unanimous.

I just purchased some 501 and AW.. can't wait to try them. =)
