Hey guys, I've been wanting to get a small sized vacuum to detail my truck. I was going to get a Ridgid with the detailers kit, but then I came across the duravac armour all branded one...

Normally I wouldn't give armour all a look, but there are over 6000 reviews of it on Amazon and they are really good. Not to mention it's actually cheaper and comes with smaller detail brushes than the Ridgid pack.

Anyone have any experience with this kit or the duravac brand in general?

Edit: Removed non-autogeek product link

It's a rebranded vac used by a few companies but it works well to answer your question.

Do you think it would be worth it to spend the extra money on the ridgid kit for just a casual weekend detailer like me?

I had the Armor All vac several years ago. It was ok power wise but I ultimately gave it away because the attachments didn't fit well between the seats and console and between the door thresholds and outside seat rails. The fit was too tight for my Audi. I didn't want to scratch the interior plastic. If you have a full size pickup or vehicle with large interior dimensions you might fare better.

Yes that is my concern with the Ridgid auto kit. The attachments seem quite a bit bigger than the armor all version

Yes that is my concern with the Ridgid auto kit. The attachments seem quite a bit bigger than the armor all versionThe rigid offers more options if that's what your looking for but I found the Armor all one to have plenty of suction on wet floor mats and it comes with a slim nozzle attachment but it's short.
