Been using like moisture wipes and 409 inside my bmw x3 that has leather and hasnt ruined the interior but i dont think it kills covid. Usually clorox or lysol based products seem to but not sure if lysol is safe on leather etc (i know clorox will be killing the car im assuming)

most products are sold out in my grocery but still ill try online or call around and wondering what are good products to kill covid and safe on this car ?

The Queen works for local med facility. Due to C19 she has sent time in infectious disease offices. The Drs have the N95 masks that they wear and there are 5 masks hanging in their offices. The masks are labeled with a day of the week, Mon thru Fri. They said if they wear a mask on Monday, hang it up and not touch again till the next Monday, all the C19 virus will be dead and they rewear the mask. All in all, IF you can let the car sit for 7 days, all the C19 virus should be dead. Alternatives to letting car sit is use PPE-gloves/mask/sanitizer-while driving, and cover seats with plastic to keep clothes from making contact, for a week or a little longer.

The reason we are to wash our hands for the twenty seconds as this breaks down the outer 'shell' of the virus and thus makes the virus easy to kill.
A question for the professional types; What would using hand soap for 20 seconds on leather do if you immediately follow it up with your normal leather cleaning routine?

My disclaimer; I am not a medical professional and am not giving medical advice.

Are you planning on giving yourself the virus? How is it that it's going to get in your car? Are there people that use your car that you're not around regularly?

Spray Nine is a cleaner/degreaser that will kill Covid-19. I used it in the interior then followed up with Megs Interior Detailer.

The active ingredient is ethoxylated alcohol. Here is a claim from their website.

Spray Nine is an EPA-registered product that has been approved for use against SARS-CoV-2, a coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

The only issue with some of these cleaners (not saying the one recommended by UD but in general) is that they require decent amount of dwell time before the virus is killed. Some require up to 15 minutes. Who is going to spray their car and leave it all wet for 15 minutes before wiping off the product? By then leather might be ruined.
I think it’s safer to put on a pair of gloves as you leave the car and take them off just before entering the car again, that way you know your hands aren’t contaminated.

I have a suggestion that I guarantee that will blow your mind. How about a product that takes tap water (H2O) and ozonates it turning it into H3O. What will H3O do? It will kill any virus or pathogen within 30 seconds (Lysol actually needs 2 minutes of -wet- contact time). There is an extensive list of things it will kill and in what time period on their website. In a true case of irony, the medical officer in Wuhan has just ordered 300 of the iclean minis and 20 of the industrial SAO machines. I have the old version that came out over a decade ago...they were VERY ahead of their time! The other great thing to use the machine is for disinfecting your produce. Once the 15 minute time frame has elapsed, the H3O resorts back to harmless H2O and oxygen. This is not B.S. It sounds too good to be true: a harmless cleaner that will kill faster than Lysol.

For detailing, if you want to ensure the removal of everything from the surface, mist with the iclean, wait for a max of 30 seconds and then wipe off with a microfiber. Done.

The other thing you'll find using it, is that the surfaces that you use it on are truly CLEAN!!
