Are the 3M pads any good for a rotary buffer I can get MEG or 3M local Meg cost a little more which ones are better? Or should I just go with LC pads?

3M pads are very good on a rotary. I use their full line: compounding (light yellow), polish/glaze (black), and the Ultrafina (light blue).

They are pretty expensive compared to other like LC or Meguiar's (approx. 2x higher). So, it's personal preference for the performance or price for replacing.

I'd estimate the 3M pads last 2x longer than the others.

Ive never tried megs pads but I have the same pads as Toto. But I also have their wool pads too. They all work great and they sure do last a while too..

IF anyone's going to DetailFest... I've got a BUNCH of 5.25 size black 3M pads if anyone wants me to bring them one or 2

I like the 3M wool pads and their blue ultrafina pads are the best finishing pad (along with Ultrafina SE)!
