View Full Version : Do I need a finer cut polish?

I finally got my Griot's G9 with an Orange, White, and Black Lake Country CCS pads(s). I already have the 6-pack of pads
(3 orange and 3 white pads) on order with Autogeek. I also picked up Meguiar's M105 and I happened to have Meguiar's M02 in my stock of products.

In performing a paint correction on my black Mazda 3, can/should I finish my polish with M02 on a white pad? Or do I need a finer polish/less aggressive pad to give a final polish before adding a wax/sealant?

In that same regards I was looking at Collinite 845 for wax for winter and Meguiar's 21 Synthetic Sealant when not using wax, any opinions on those? Can both be applied with a black LC CCS pad on my G9?

Thanks!

IMO:

Doing a “Test Spot” will determine if
you’ll need a finer cut polish, or not.

Assuming the M02 on an orange or white pad provides the results I'm after, is there any harm in stopping there and adding a wax or sealant?

If you are happy with the results, then wax away! Or seal away!!! Lol

I would start off by doing a test spot with the polish first,Mazda black tends to be soft and the 105 may not be needed
