Since the pandemic i cant seem to find any IPA. Is there something else i can use before the final wipe?

Use a prep spray. About every company on AG sells one. You can also pick some up at your local auto parts store. It is going to be way more effective than IPA.

By final wipe i mean for ceramic coating. Not painting.

So my local auto parts should have that?

Hey, I’d recommend picking up any of the prep products sold on AG store or you can search your local auto store for wax and grease removers or wax and tar removers. They would all work for your intended purpose but the ones from AG would have more lubricity to be safer on paint as that is how they were formulated.

I use CarPro Eraser, nice product and smells nicer than IPA.

I just used DP Coating prep spray after PCL and before Wolfgang Si02 paint sealant. Might have been a little redundant but the paint was amazingly "clean/slick" feeling after the DP wipe down.

Prepare for IPA to be in short supply for at least a couple months. My company is starting to make hand sanitizer, of which IPA is at least 72% of the formula. We are struggling to locate IPA in bulk (drums and totes) that is beyond our established demand, as IPA is now on allocation. Best estimate is August before things start normalizing for IPA.

One more thing to keep in mind specially when applying ceramic coating. Always stay in a system e.g. if you use CarPro polishes, use CarPro Eraser. Just stay within a same brand.
