Afternoon all. Wanted to get some opinions on the best polish options for a 2008 Cadillac DTS, metallic grey paint. Moderate defects throughout mostly from machine car washes. What has worked the best for anyone who has tackled this age GM paint. Car to my knowledge has never been polished. Thanks for the help!

If it’s your daily driver, I would wash and decon.

Then hit it with HD Speed on a Lake Country orange pad. Test spot first, then 4-6 section passes on the vehicle.

I did this on my 98 K1500 with great results. Rather old GM clear coat paint.

What polisher are you using?

Probably the best plan. Definitely going to go the AIO route and I’ve used HD Speed on another car with good results before.

I’ve got a Griots 6”
