I am considering upgrading from my Porter Cable 7424, not because I need more correction but I would just like some that is more enjoyable to use, doesn't vibrate as bad and is easier to handle. (already using 5" pads which does make the PC more smooth, but still not great IMO)

Although I think the 15ES would probably be nice on the truck and boat, I probably don't need anything more than the 12E duetto correction wise. With that said the upper handle / grab spot on the 15ES looks like it would really help handling and ease of use. The duetto is basically the same form factor as the PC, which is okay, but seems that upper handle would be really nice.

Any advice for those more knowledgable than me and who have used these would be appreciated.

Keep the PC and get yourself a LHR15 Mark 2 or Mark 3 if your set on a Rupes.

I think $300 is about the most I can justify to myself. Not set on RUPES, just looking for a noticealby better experience than the PC.

I own a Duetto, PC, LHR15 Mark 2. The duetto is nice and does run smoother but it’s not much of an upgrade.

Going to the LHR15 MKII was the upgrade when I made the move years ago.

Hmmm, not exactly what I was hoping to hear, but appreciate you sharing your experience.

The long throw designs are way more comfortable to hold and use, especially for long periods. I have a boss not a rupes 15 but similar in design.

If your not set on Rupes and don’t necessarily need a LT.... maybe Griots G9? 9mm throw and has a similar design to a LT. Griots new BOSS polishers will be out soon.... wait and check those out...

Yeah, I was looking at the G9 last night. Might be a good option given the price point. Seems like it would provide me a better experience than the PC, without a huge $$ outlay. What are the new BOSS polishers supposed to bring....just updates to the long throws?

Griots hasn’t said but the disco’d the current 15 and 21 mm. Probably along the lines of the g9. Detach cord and what not. I know that Maxshine made the old bosses and i’ve heard that the new G’s are made by someone else.

I’m thinking they’re gonna have one vender make all of their polishers

Here's my 2 cents,

I'd go for the RUPES BigFoot 15 Mark III

When the RUPES Duetto was introduced, (I have a prototype in my office), I had high hopes for this tool. I really wanted to LOVE it. And I started out really liking it for the size as it's about the size of the tried-and-true Porter Cable 7424XP.

But I have the hardest time maintaining pad rotation with these tools.

Keep in mind, I'm not a YouTube Influencer, so take what I have to say with a grain of cyber salt...
