Recently I got back from road trip with my Golf Mk7 R,

Before we began the drive i sprayed the front end and the fenders with temporary protection liquid that comes of after a wash,

On the way back, there was a little of fine desert sand that was blowing on the road,

Once I got back home, give the car a quick wash to remove the temporary film, the body panels were will protected, but my gloss black front lip got damaged by the sand blasting into.

Can this be easily buffed out with a machine polisher?

I would give it a go with scratch-x and a foam applicator/mf towel, the surface area of the lip looks too small for a machine polish - unless you have access to an ibird nano...

What kind of liquid protection did you spray on?

That lower piece does not look OEM.

It looks toasted after being sand blasted.

That was some sand blasting! Unfortunately, you will need to have that piece repainted. It appears as if the gloss black paint has been sand blasted off and no longer resides on the piece. Sorry for that news...
