Continued....

For those that might not know just how many tools, products and techniques I cover in my 3-day class, here's the short list....

First day - Friday
We will start at 6:30am and go until 6:30pm and the class will detail 6 cars. We'll cover 3 types of tools, each tool set will get 2 cars.

This first day we focus on paint correction and ceramic coatings using multiple types of tools

First 2 cars - Short Stroke Random Orbital Polishers - Griot's/Porter Cable/Meguiar's - using BLACKFIRE Compounds and B&S Pads

Second 2 cars - RUPES Tools/Pads/Compounds

Third set of 2 cars - Griot's BOSS Tools/Pads/Compounds

Misc topics covered as we work through the 6 cars

Topical and sub-surface glass polishing
Chrome polishing
Plastic trim restoration
Waterless wash
Rineselss wash
Detailing clay
Clay towels, mitts and pads
Cosmetic engine detailing

Class wraps up. Meet & Greet at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel just a few blocks from Autogeek

Second day - Saturday

I go easy on the class and we start at 7:30am. Today we will detail 4 cars.

Extreme washing - We cover a LOT of tools, topics and products.

Traditional wet wash engine detailing with degreasers
Topical glass polishing
Headlight correction
Wheels and tires including machine scrubbing tires and plastic claddding
Iron removers
Foam guns
Nanoskin towels and mitts
Proper cleaning of canvas convertible tops
Proper cleaning of vinyl tops
Car dryers

After the above, we're back into the air conditioned garage

First 2 cars - FLEX Tools with SONAX products and Lake Country Pads + Ceramic Coatings

Second set of 2 cars - High quality production detailing.

By now, you will have used over 16+ different tools. Now instead of doing multiple steps of paint correction followed by installing ceramic coatings, you'll learn how to correctly use a one-step or AIO product. For this I tend to bring in normal, abused daily drivers so you learn on the type of car you will probably be working when you return to your hometown, be it your own cars or customer's car.

Besides the above, we'll fit in,

Topical and sub-surface glass polishing
Chrome polishing
Plastic trim restoration
Waterless wash
Rineselss wash
Detailing clay
Clay towels, mitts and pads
Cosmetic engine detailing

Third day - Sunday

By Sunday, everyone is tired. We start at 8:30am sharp.

Wetsanding
Panel prep
Taping off
Sanding theory
Hand sanding techniques
Machine sanding techniques
How to use a rotary buffer to remove 100% of the sanding marks
How to use any type or brand of orbital polisher to remove holograms
Sealing the paint

Then we move onto,

Hot water extractors
Steam machines
Finishing steps
Any topic or technique that we didn't cover on Friday and Saturday

Class is over at 5:00pm

Certificate Awards
Book signing

By the end of the 3-day class, you will have just survived the most hands-on experience you will find on Planet Earth.

By the end of Sunday, the class will have detailed anywhere from 12 to 15 cars.

There are NO other classes on Planet Earth where you will work on this many cars and learn this many tools, products, techniques and procedures.

I guarantee it. -Mike Phillips

The above is a snapshot of what our NORMAL 3-day class looks like.

Just updated the car list. Check out the 2006 Bentley just below the 1934 Ford 5-Widow Coup.

Try to find ANY other car detailing class where the Instructor has this many cars for you to work on. Actually this many COOL and UNIQUE cars for you to learn paint correction and ceramic coatings installation.

The February class is one week after the boat class and everyone attending both classes will be doing a lot of this... :buffing:

Good to hear.

If you learn best by doing and not sitting in a chair you're going to love this class. There's NO other class on Planet Earth where you not only work on this many cars over 3 days but cool cars at that.

And - I cover every topic you can list.

Any other class? Find the pictures? They don't exist. Find the list of topics covered that even comes close to what I show. Doesn't exist.

I'll send out what I call the,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

e-mail as fast as I can get to it as this class is almost full. I'm going to start the class at 6:30am on Friday so we have enough time to work through all the tools, products, techniques and cars.

The 2008 black Corvette convertible has had to cancel due to the fact the owner traded it in on a new Corvette. :(

The good news is I have already confirmed a replacement!

1969 Dodge Dart

Setting up for the class right now, we'll start working on cars at 7:30am sharp.

There will be ZERO chairs as the garage will be packed like sardines in a sardine can with cars. If you want to sit in chairs, you'll need to find some other class. Look for pictures of chairs instead of cars like you see above.

You will all be doing this --> :buffing: instead of sitting in chairs.

Mike Phillips has the best class. You won’t be sitting in a chair listening on how, your hands on and it’s your chance to try out different polisher. I know, I taken this class. Best money I spent. And he always has the coolest cars to work on!!!

Thanks Dan. I work really hard at having the best hands-on classes on Planet Earth. It would be easier to do a LOT less work and have everyone simply sit in a chair, go through my 256 slide Power Point Presentation and then break to work on some demo hoods but that's not my style.

Just to comment....

I've heard people comment that the reason I have old cars here is because I like old cars.

That's partly true and I'm in good company, simply watch any of these guys cars shows and you'll understand what I mean,

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/3949/OldCarGUYS1.JPG

Besides that - Because I average 20 people in my classes, I need HUGE CARS so everyone has plenty or real-estate so they get plenty of HANDS-ON time!

In the above context, makes sense huh?

Change up in cars...

We've substituted this 1968 Camaro Rally Sport for the 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe.

Where you able to get any single stage paint cars?

I still loved that your class was able to let me work on and learn on that green Corvette and the red Ferrari replica both with single stage paint from last year!

Yes.

When we did the Test Spot to the 1964 Impala we discovered it had single stage paint.

It came out amazing!
