I'm not 100% sure this is the right forum to post, but seemed like you guys would be knowledgeable in this area.

I just had a lift installed and I have my car an inch or two away from a fluorescent ceiling light. Do you guys know if this will damage the wrap I have on my car, or the paint underneath? I occasionally forget to turn the lights off, so it could be on for extended periods of time.

I know that at first thought, light damaging anything sounds silly. But being so close, I wonder if the heat it gives off is damaging?

Any input?

The heat generated by fluorescent lighting
isn't totally negligible, but it is really quite
minimal compared to incandescent lighting.

•For more assurance:
-You may want to consider converting, at
least that one particular fluorescent fixture,
to accept LED.

-Overall:
LED retrofitting is a smart choice, IMO.

Thanks for the advice. I will look into retrofitting. I didn't think about that. I was just thinking about disconnecting that light and calling it a day. I'm guessing LED is completely harmless though and that may be a good choice.
