Hey everybody, I'm detailing the interior of a Dodge Dart today. The cloth seats seem to have the hair, both cat and human, stuck into them, almost like a needle point. Does anybody have any tips on how to easily remove these, I'm just picking them out one by one after vacuuming up the loose ones. Sometimes it can work with nitrile gloves and just mop together them or even better following with the vacuum. Some hairs though almost is like an anchor in the cloth seats and mats. Pumice stones says to be great for this and also the pet hair remover rubber brushes. So maybe have both at hand and see which works better on the type of hair you are dealing with. And try with the nitrile gloves as you notice fast when the hair don't releases and you get a better grip to pick them out. It's PITA with some kind of fabrics and hair types.

Perhaps try duct tape. It will be a tedious job though.

/ TonyTony, I'm glad I wear gloves cause that made picking them out easy but sadly brushing the hairs with my hand was not sufficient.

The rubber should be the winner for this situation.

So, a solution has been had! We tested using a rubber based hair removal tool by taking a rubber squeeze ball (like the stress balls where you can make it bulge a ton) and wiping the seat down with it. This pulled at least 90% of the hairs out. I'll be ordering the rubber hair removers because next week I have a car to do that looks like the dog exploded in the back (fur wise that is)

Yep, another rubber bristle brush recommendation here.

Something else you can do as a work around is use the soft brush attachment with your shop vac and vacuum making circular motions (kind like applying wax) and the bristles will starting working the hair out of the weave and the vac will pull it the rest of the way out.

Nitrile gloves + squeegee

I also use a speed stone aka a pumice stone.
