Well, I went ahead and traded in the Golf and got the closest thing to another wagon under $50k. Lol Surprisingly much roomier than the Golf even though I lose some cargo room and I’m loving it so far. I know I’ll regret it eventually but I went with Crystal Black Silica. I love how a black car looks when it’s cared for.
Car was actually in pretty good shape from the dealer. A couple of adhesive lines on the roof and a few sections of large but light scratches.
Did a Wolfgang waterless wash, followed by some spot claying with Chemical Guys blue (light) clay since the rest of the car was good and then did a quick one step with D166 using yellow foam Meguiars polishing pads. I only did one pass on each panel, just working a little longer on the scratched sections and I’d say it’s almost swirl free. I wasn’t going for perfect since I still want to see how soft the paint is with regular waterless washes. I’ll probably end up doing it again before winter and taking my time before I cover it with UFF.
I have to get some good pictures once I get a chance. Took these quickly and also didn't fully clean the windows since I ran out of time.
