OK, I have decided that I will buy the Flex XCE when it comes out in a the next few weeks over here in the UK. From people that have experience with the 3401 VRG, what pads and polish combinations would you recommend for a beginner and or any other products I need to buy along with the kit. This will be primarily be used on 2 cars with no major defects apart from light swirling.
Thank you in advance - I understand the backing plate is 5" as standard ?

A few weeks ago I buffed this old 2-door sports car and tested 3 popular pads on the new 3401

Here's my experience,
Pads: I tested 3 different pads, the pads I went with were the B&S Uro-Tech 6" Dark Blue Heavy Polishing Foam Pad

I would say any pad with a 6" or 6.5" diameter to the face of the pad would be a good choice.
I preferred the B&S "size" pad over the LC HDO and SDO and also the 5" Force Hybrid.
I like the cut and finish if the blue pad you see me using but I'll tell you up front, they are heat-sensitive and will bowel-in when they get hot.
