Even with being super careful and methodical when cleaning this polished black paint it would towel marr like no other. So I bit the bullet and had my buddy wrap it in self healing Xpel paint protection film.

Not really as it's self healing. So any possible towel marring etc heals when in the sunlight. Now if it gets a deep scratch then it would need to be replaced. Plus the film doesn't towel scratch nearly as easily.

Oh it big time bud. It already has. Just cleaning it now is so easy.

I wanted to get spot panels done on my 68 behind the front and rear tires and the 3 places I called said their plotters do not go back that far and it would need to be cut by hand on the paint - When they all warned against potential paint damage, I respectfully declined. Glad it is working out for you though
