So a friend my racing group has had his gal here for quite a long time, 20+ years and they've been through a lot together. He first brought it over when another friend was getting his wife's Mustang set up for its coating job.

I had a chance to look it over and together we decided that a lot could be done but it wasn't necessary to chase perfection to get the results he was looking to see. Overall the finish was just faded a bit, covered in swirls and being pure black, wasn't able to really look as fast as it is.

So we set out to go with my Premium Enhancement Polish Package and given it's not a daily driver nor one that will see much if any harsh weather, to top off the results with 2 layers of GYEON's CanCoat SiO2 based Ceramic Coating. In the process I also polished up the glass that was etched pretty badly and topped it off with some McKee's 37 glass coating as a favor for him.

I'll jump right to the pics as they tell the story. I'll lead off with what it looked like from a swirl-city standpoint.

I'm going to be sad to see it leave as it makes my garage look good.

Jesus Christ, I haven't seen a MKIV modded like that since the early 2000s. And thank god for that!

When you were done with the car and handed him the keys did you then tell him "here you go, I owe you a 10 second car"[emoji5]

Black is beautiful, no doubt about it, you nailed it[emoji876]

Thanks Guys. This was an important one for me as the customer is a LONG time member of our group and well respected. Great guy and one who has spent 20yrs enjoying this car. He had it polished several years back but when he picked it up from me his comment was that I definitely exceeded the expectations we talked about. It's black, so I often find it difficult to not lean-in a bit more on it because a corrected black car that shines like a mirror will show every imperfection more so than most.

Looking forward to the next few weeks too as I have a beautiful blue metallic Jag coming and a pure black CTS-V Coupe too.
