My 2006 Land Cruiser looks amazing... until you look at the hood. No buffing/polishing will bring it back. I bought the truck with 39,000 miles on it. It had been in a minor accident - bumper and hood were repaired/repainted. It would appear the paint work on the hood was far from Toyota OE standards.

Short of repainting the hood... is there anything that can reduce the ugly? Thanks!

Can't remember but someone makes a clearcoat repair, surely someone will post it, maybe Gyeon or Optimum[emoji848]

I'm pretty sure there's only one way to fix it. you're going have to repaint the hood and then clear coat it. you won't be able to just scuff it up and clear coat. I'm not a body shop guy but if you going to do it right, that's the right way. plus you can request a little heavy on the clear coat. then in the future you won't need to worry about burning through. good luck.
