Hello AG! I used to be here quite a bit in the past, but frankly I wasn't doing much detailing due to owning a boring car that I wasn't very enthusiastic about maintaining, a broken wrist, and some other life-stuff. Anyway, wrist is healed and the the boring car is gone.

I ordered this 2019 Mustang GT from Ford back at the end of August. It's a Ruby Red 2019 GT with 10 speed auto, 3.55 gears, active exhaust, chrome wheels, and tan interior.

Now it's time to get back to detailing! Not sure if I will go with my tried and true Collinite wax, or try the new PNS polymer. I know that I do need to get a convertible top protection kit. I do have to say I'm impressed with the beading on the cloth from the factory.

Anyway, good to be back!

Congrats on the new GT!

I would go with the latter.

Agree. Go with PNS and enjoy the top down for a while. In terms of the top once it stops beading a bit, I like 303 Marine Fabric Guard (https://www.goldeagle.com/product/303-marine-recreation-fabric-guard/). Works great on just about all fabrics exposed to harsh exterior elements. I did our patio furniture when it was new and while we never leave it out in the rain, they have had their share of drinks and water on them with zero impact. rolls right off.

My 2016. I ceramic coated it and was pretty simple.

The ragtopp brush a must have and cleaned well w/o being to aggressive and pulling up the top. The Griots cleaner worked really well but I’ve tried the meguiars and it’s good too.

Used this to coat in early March. Still beads strong. I’d recommend this or carpros version. After reading TONS of reviews on a all these have been happy after useage. Sweet ride.... by the way. Any Mods planned or run her stock?

Wow man, yours looks fantastic! The all black gives it that Vader look. Sinister. I like it!

I've spent time over at American Muscle and CJ Pony parts looking at all sorts of mods. I thought I might get Steeda springs or some Shelby wheels. But seeing the car in real life makes me want to keep it stock for now. I'm liking the look and stance from the factory. There some minor mods I'll do; tint, smartTOP module (to be able to put the top down when going more than 3mph), hood struts, and a set of winter wheels and tires. She's my daily driver so I need a real winter set up this year.

I can't see needing any speed mods - this things is fast enough for daily driving to get into trouble real quick!

Thanks for the info on sealing the top. I'm going to try the 303 sealant first and see how that goes. I'm impressed that the top is beading from the factory, but I plan on sealing it later this summer or early fall. CarPro looks like a good idea and I may see how 303 holds up this winter, then try CarPro next spring.

What mods do you have on yours? Looks like tint, wheels, and springs?

Yeah was going to go the 303 but when using I masked off rest of car as I heard convertible sealants can adhear to paint so was looking for longest lasting. If wasn’t in the NW would of used 303 heard nothing but good things. Make sure when reading recommendations for your top to be aware of poster’s environment as that can make big difference in performance of products.

STAY AWAY FROM CJ’s and American muscle! Just like detailing parts get addicting! [emoji2357] [emoji1787][emoji23]

Glad you’re healed up from the
past injury and have overcome
life’s ruffles. And back on AGO.

However:
Prayers are still being sent...

I ordered this 2019 Mustang GT from
Ford back at the end of August.
