Igl echoshine hybrid wax over a coating.

I'm wondering if it's alright to use this hybrid cleaner wax over a coating without damaging it? It's a sio2 cleaner wax with a chemical cleaner in it.

IGL is a coating company but they conveniently leave out any mention of using this wax over a coating in the write-up.

That probably gives me my answer right there

If your talking about this. Then yes you can use it over a coating. At least there are fellow IGL installers who have mentioned using igl wax over a IGL coating.

I personally haven't done it.

Hmm. I purchased this wax awhile ago, somehow missing the fact it is a cleaner wax. I intended to use on top of Premiere. Maybe that’s OK still (or maybe not?!?), but not sure I would have pulled the trigger if I realized the cleaning abilities.

Be nice to have a thread on what types of cleaners are good for cleaning coatings but not degrading them.

Things like this and other cleaner wax type products. Also diffrent all purpose cleaners diluted.

I know ceramic coatings are strong enough to stand up to these products but are any of the products actually good for the coating?

^^Agreed. I was thinking Ecocoat was like Synergy or Enigma... meant specifically for topping a coating if preferred, but now I’m not so sure, but maybe it still is???

Whats the big deal people have been waxing their cars 1x a month easy for as long as there's been carwax. Its the same thing. I'm sure there's 1x a week waxers out there too.

Also nothing looks better then fresh product.

It doesn’t, it’s actually reversed. They are the brainiacs, you are the “squandermaniac” in this case. Just thought it was worth mentioning for perspective. You can still open that topper store before the trend becomes unfashionable though (I myself already bought $3000 in toppers though, so I’m all set at this point).
