Just picked up a 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec which has some microsuede through the middle of the seats as well as one trim piece on the dash above the glove box. I've searched and read through here on cleaning/protecting microsuede but no mention of the specific products I have on hand. I also watched one of Larry's AMMONYC videos and he uses his "Shag" product, which is more of a fabric cleaner...which is why I am considering treating it as a "fabric" in this approach:
Clean with CG Lightning Fast...which is what I use for fabric cleaning.
Protect with a local detailing shop brand "upholstery protectant" which is an add when wet product.
Method:
1) Gently clean with CGLF using a detailing vent brush.
2) Dab with MF towel moistened with purified water (to bring out suspended dirt and CGLF).
3) Gently work in the upholstery protectant with a separate detailing vent brush and let air dry.
4) Gently vacuum to raise the pile with my microtool kit using the soft brush attachment
Would this be a good plan? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
