So this car belongs to a local racer and car guy. A while back he was dealt a devastating blow when he went in for back surgery and came out paralyzed from the waste down. There is some hope for recovery. Being the car guy and racer he is he wasn't going to let that stand in his way. The chassis shop that did a lot of the work on the car custom made a awesome hand control setup for him so he can still race. And after some practice he was able to get back in and get his NHRA license passes completed.

He runs a local race series called New England No Time which is a heads up 1/8 mile race and as the name suggests no times are shown. With World of Wheels Boston approaching the promoter of the race series is setting up a booth there and they held a poll to vote for one of the racers to be on display at the show. It just so happens Matt's car won. When I found out this was happening I decided to reach out to the promoter to offer my services to the winner of the vote so the car would be in top shape on display. In exchange he will be racing with my Final Inspection Stickers on the car for the season. And once the show is over the car is getting loaded up and heading down to Memphis TN along with other local Boston racers to race JJ tha Boss and the Memphis Street Outlaws for the T.V. show. Which is pretty cool as there's a chance my work will be on T.V. lol.

Onto the detail. Before having the car in the shop the owner arranged to have the body shop come and wet sand the car to remove the orange peel. I kinda cringed because I just knew what I was in store for when it arrived and it didn't disappoint to say the least. The sanding and polishing came out pretty nice but a huge mess was left behind.

Wow!

You did a great job restoring this Mustang race car!

The before pictures show years of neglect. Maybe decades? The guy's lucky to have someone as qualified as you to undo all the years of neglected and bring it back to Showcar/Racecar quality.

Very nice work and thank you for sharing!

I couldn’t imagine going in for surgery to fix something and wake up in a worse scenario. Good for him staying positive and doing what he loves. Great work as usual Justin. Keep em comin buddy.

This is most impressive one yet Justin. How did you get that assorted crap off of the lower panels? Did the Goo Gone melt it away or did you have to finesse it off?

Multiple application of goo gone and some microfiber rags got it done.

Thanks guys

Wow!!! :wow:

Damn Justin, this is an incredible turnaround. Actually, to be honest I’m a bit gutted that lately I haven’t had a lot of spare time to post comments here or on other social media outlets because you have been slaying every vehicle that comes your way. You have for a long time but just lately you have had a good run of black cars through & the results have been nothing short of amazing!!!

There are talented Detailers out there, heck there are Detailers that are, I guess ‘famous’ in our world but there is something about your workmanship that is unmatched. Every time I see a post from you come up, I stare at the pictures in awe! You & your standard of workmanship inspire the heck out of me. :props:

Another very impressive post my friend, thank you for sharing!

Now this is detailing.

Job well done mate, must’ve been a pain in the ass but so damn satisfying at the same time.

Just needs some tyre shine on the flats, I reckon they’d appreciate that.

Aaryn first off. Thanks for following along on social media and here. Its getting into busy season here and it's been nuts. Not a bad thing but definitely have no shortage of work. As for the black vehicles you're absolutely right. They keep coming in lol. But it's ok I'll keep slaying them! Haha. Thanks again brother
