As you can tell from my screen name I love Corvettes. For many years I've always wanted a black Corvette but never bought one because of the time needed to maintain it's appearance. A year ago I retired and with the spare time I decided I could take on a part time job. So I ordered a black Corvette. Now I'm trying to learn all I can about the proper maintenance of it's appearance.

:welcome: AutoGeek has a great resource that I think you should check out. Auto Detailing Facts, auto detailing Tips, How to detailing Guides, how to polish, how to wax (http://www.autogeek.net/detailingtips.html) Also, be sure to check out Pinnacle's instructional videos. Pinnacle (http://www.auto-geek.net/video/pinnacle/Pinnacle.html) These two great resources will get you in the right direction as well as provide suggestions on some great products. Oh, and once you get started, don't forget the pictures!

Black is definite more work but looks great when it's detailed. I brought a black Z06 a few months back. When I got it, it already had swirls from the dealer. Ther first thing I did was polish it.
