Hello,

I am about to purchase either:

Griot?s Garage Random Orbital Perfect Starter Kit (https://www.autogeek.net/griot-s-garage-random-orbital-perfect-starter-kit.html)

OR

Griot?s Garage 6 inch Random Orbital Correct & Finish Combo LIMITED TIME ONLY! (https://www.autogeek.net/griots-garage-correct-finish-combo.html)

I want to get extra Lake Country CCS pads in the 5.5 inch plus the 6.5 Gold Jeweling pad. What back plating will I need in order to use these pads? I will also get one of each color of Lake Country Pads in the 3.5 inch. Will the Griots Garage 3 inch HD backing plate be compatible with these pads? What backplating does the GG6 come with in the box?

Backing plate on the GG random orbital will be 6" to use with the 6.5" pads. If you get 5.5" pads, get a GG 5" backing plate. I'm pretty sure that the GG 3.5" backing plate will work with those LC pads, just make sure it's all hook and loop.

I’d recommending getting polisher only. Pep boys has it 20% off for 127.99. Autogeek will price match Spend extra $50 on pads that you want. Better deal. I just got my polisher and went with ccs pads. Get lots. Some here recommend a pad per panel. I went with 6 total of each kind. If no major correction needed get orange on up. I went orange (cutting). Green (good for all in one and light cutting decent polishing). I went with boss yellows for finishing. Good luck with the detailing!
