Tackled the entire interior of my sons new-to-him 18 year old Jeep Cherokee (http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/2001_jeep_cherokee_gallery)today. Overall it was in excellent shape for it's age. No rips, stains, not much in the way of high traffic dirt even. The stock mats are still drying but they look brand new.

Today I steam-extracted all the carpet and seat areas and sanitized and cleaned all the hard surfaces. Looks and smells brand new.

Ignore the blue tinge on some surfaces as it's the LED headlight I'm wearing as a light source combined with a cell phone as the camera. The shine to the hard surfaces buffs-down upon wipe off of the Ultima Interior Guard Plus (https://www.autogeek.net/ultima-interior-guard-4.html)Product but it has to set for a bit and I wanted to get pics done.

I had a 93 with the 2.5L 4 banger and a 5 speed. Super base model. Crank windows, seats that didn't have any tilt adjust, and am/fm with 2 speakers. It was the second car I ever purchased. $2000, with 95,000 miles on the odometer. 15 years later, I traded it in with 275,000 miles on the odometer. It was on its second clutch, and 3rd set of floorboards. I got so good at replacing altenators in it that I could do it in less than an hour, and was so broke at one point that it had to be push started for a month because I couldn't afford a new starter. It never left me stranded.

They're not glamorous, but that engine and transmission are nearly bulletproof.

Very nice job!

Your son is gonna love the Jeep.

Solid ride right there.

He will but he and I are also looking at flipping it. These things are bringing crazy money on Bring a Trailer and while it's a cool ride, he knows never to fall in love with a car so we're discussing options. Time is on our side too as the longer I have it the nicer it will be, the older and harder to find they become and the demand doesn't seem to be slowing.

Nice work! Great condition on the interior. Also I like the Ultimate Interior Guard Plus a lot. Is it the newest version with the antibactiriell protection in it? And if so is it a difference to the older version?
