I received a bottle of FK425 today and there was a film above the product line on the inside of the bottle and the smell was awful! I called FK and gave them the batch number and they said it was produced last February. The lady said she would get back to me but hasn’t yet. So does this stuff have just a year shelf life?

i had an issue where there was a white film towards the top of the bottle but it didn't smell foul. it was fine to use and didn't seem to affect the performance that i could notice...

Hmm. I have a bottle that’s years old and sits in the heat in the garage. No trouble with it at all.

Maybe I’m good to go then. My buddy had a bottle and it had a pretty nice bubble gum smell. It’ll be used outside so I can get past the smell if the product still performs. New to the product so just wanted to check in you you guys.

give it a good shake and see how it performs. the OID has had a similar issue IME, towards the bottom of the quart bottle there is what looks to be like brown sand clumped but when you shake it, it goes away. no issues when using it...

I too have gotten the ring/film at/above the product line... but it’s still pink and doesn’t stink. Works fine. It’s a year old.

I have some that is over ten years old. No separation or funny smells.

The nice bubble gum smell faded from mine after a few years. I think mine had the ring when I got it, I was afraid it had frozen during shipment. That was probably around 2005. I used some the other day on my phone screen.
