Yes, just water...or distilled water if it's required.

Yes, distilled water only... If you want to pretreat your carpet, we use Pinnacle Carpet and Upholstery cleaner. Typically I don't use a steam cleaner rather an extractor.

Thanks fellas! :) I wasn't sure if in addition to the distilled water if there was a particular product that could be utilized with the steam cleaner as a detergent.

Only certain steamers have chemical injection. Check with the manufacturer that makes your steamer to see if the chemical injection option available on your machine.
