Coming from an auto parts background, not detailing, my question is this- How good of a product are the MMM polishes and compounds? We were always taught they were the gold standard, body shop professional type products. What’s the detailing point of view?

I find that:
by using the tools/polishers that are specifically
recommended by 3M, their compounds’/polishes’
transition from being originally used in the “Body
Shop Industry”; to also being used in both the
“Detailing and Enthusiast Industries”; is quite
easily accomplished.
