This is the PC-840. Is this supposed to come with a DA washer?

Mine didn't.

I never tried using one, and have been running it with no problems. That being said, I'm going to try it with one next time.

Never ordered one but I do have a pack I bought of extra washers for situations like this. You can always use the one on your machine and just switch it back and forth

The Aqua brushes do not require washers. They sit high enough off to not require one.

That's a Cyclo brush for Cyclo polishers. A few years ago I wrote an article on how the 5/16" fine thread stud on all the Cyclo brushes was the same size stud that is used for Porter Cable backing plates and thus pretty much ALL backing plates for simple DA polishers. In my article I showed the brush being used for machine scrubbing tires.

When attaching a backing plate to a polishers you NEED a compression washer to prevent metal to metal contact.

When attaching a Cyclo brush to any simply random orbital polisher the backing of the brush is PLASTIC and thus no metal to metal contact and thus you don't need a washer. Just thread onto the free floating spindle bearing assembly and then tighten until snug.

The Aqua and Grey Cyclo brushes work the best. By this I mean tools like the PC can more easily maintain "Brush Rotation". The black and white brushes not so much...

So crank up your PC to the 6 speed setting, get ready for splatter and watch to make sure the brush is actually rotating otherwise you're not doing anything.

I show these in ALL my car detailing classes and also my boat detailing classes to scrub vinyl and also non-skid surfaces. I cover TONS of tools and techniques in my classes.

Try not to laugh too hard, but I am cleaning tile grout and going to scrub grease spots on the driveway with it. I will probably buy some softer ones for cleaning floor mats and seats. Thanks for the video. I will also start using it on tires.

LOL. It took me five minutes to figure out what “washer” meant. I kept thinking the brush was supposed to come with something that washes it.
