I would coat it with Gyeon WetCoat, might as well do the entire car with it. If you can wait keep an eye out for 303 Touchless Sealant as well!

The can even has a built in meter, to adjust the spray pattern from narrow to wide depending on how much area you need to cover. Leave it to Meguiars to think of these little details that make that nice added touch.

I think Eldo has the answer...I might try a WOWA sealant. I also remember a picture of Rasky with a little airbrush spraying a paint coating on a grille like that.

I used Wolfgang's Exterior Trim Sealant on mine. I just wiped it on then wiped it off. It doesn't take as long as you might think.

Since the grill is hard, smooth, and shiny plastic, the next time I do it, I am going to use Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, the same thing I use on the body.

Note: The Meguiars D4510 in the picture isn’t meant to be used on glossy or painted plastics. Only use it on plastics with a matte finish. It’ll leave a nice dark black look with just the right amount of sheen.
I’ve never used it on a shiny black plastic grill [aka piano black plastic] but I think the reason they don’t recommend it is because it’ll probably turn greasy.

I’m assuming you’re talking about your black MDX? Your grill is shiny black plastic? So your grill is different than OP’s? Because unless I’m mistaken, OP’s honeycomb grill looks like it’s matte black, not glossy black plastic. The trim surrounding the honeycomb is shiny plastic, but the honeycomb part looks matte.

Actually, I have two MDX's, mine's black and my wife's is white. Her's has a grill identical to the op's. My older model has the bird's beak grill surrounded with a slightly different pattern grill. However, both grills are made of identical material with the same finish, hard shiny plastic. It just looks matte in the photo.

Not sure how much time and effort you want to put into this, but I would def. recommend a spray sealant such as Gyeon WetCoat or Hydro2.
Simple as wash car, while still wet, spritz a section w/ the sealant, then blast with water. Repeat on entire car.
