I got a call yesterday to do this car...so i fit him in today, he only said he wanted a light polish and wax, and engine cleaned...i was like ok...so maybe the car isn't to bad....

wrongggg ..this thing was highly oxidized!

i went threw about 14 pads doing this car...and i couldn't just do a 1 step polish...

i went old school on this one ..

wash- dp 4-1 rinsless wash

clay- clay magic

polish - (old school) xmt 3 with different cutting pads ... and xmt 1 with white polishing pads

wax- sig ser II


ok...small story...i was doing the engine bay, just a good wipe down, i reach my hand in the corner of the engine bay and........

The fact that he only wanted a "light polish and wax" makes me wonder if he will appreciate your fine work, or understand the effort required.

Man, talk about turn around, that's detailing.

Funny thing, we handle a lot of chemicals and I have at least 8-10 different polishes and an equal amount of different pads at work and still people can make comments about detailing like "anyone can do it, no knowledge required". That's a load of b-s.

A pro job, my regards man. I'd better come over for some school.

Very nice work. Those old MB sure look solid, but the rat should have had a shampoo and combout before returning it to the owner;)
