Hello folks,

A while ago, I asked a question about detailing a car in NYC apartment complex. Many gave good suggestions but the life took over and I could not really do anything. The winter is upon us. I still plan to detail the car but not during the winter.

That said, is it OK that I can use Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax during winter to remove salt from the vehicle? I use automated car wash once a month during the winter to remove salt from nooks and crannies, but I was thinking to use this between the washes. Is that a good idea?

I wonder if it will affect anything in my summer car detailing the project, like it will be difficult to remove embedded grime or something like that. My car definitely needs a clay bar. Hence the question.

Many thanks in advance.

Gonna take a ton of that product and a ton of towels. Salt can be pretty hard to remove cleanly especially waterless wash like that.

Most will tell you to try to go to a touchless wash first then do the Meguiars afterwords

Anything you can do to try to get the salt off the better. All though it’s typically not that paint that is a problem with salt it’s all the under components and stuff you can’t see that get harmed the paint with protection will be fine just ugly looking while dirty

Thank you. I thought so too but I wasn't too sure. I will follow your recommendation.
