I finally started detailing my new Kia Niro. I washed the tires with Meguiars soap and the body with ONR. Then I broke out the dreaded stink bomb. I bought the 1 liter bottle with separate sprayer. I put the feed tube in the sprayer top and screwed on the bottle but it wouldn’t spray. I had to transfer the IronX to another spray bottle. That smell! It didn’t smell like death and I don’t know what rotten eggs smell like, but it was rank! I was planning on wearing gloves and a mask but I was in such a rush to try it out that I forgot both. Now I regret it.
But everything went smoothly. There was less purple streaking than I thought but there was some. Mostly on the hood and roof. The paint felt really rough before I started washing. I hosed it off with water after a couple of minutes.
Here is a picture of the IronX working on the hood and one that shows what a great job the dealer did keeping the paint in good shape. Zero beading.
