Front side of 2018 corolla?

Is the front side of a 2018 Corolla under headlights, is that plastic? If so can a scratch be wet sanded then buffed? I got a scratch i thonk came from a rock, and i see what looks like white plastic the scratch.

If its painted then yeah (be careful) if its the black trim type plastic then most likely not. A picture would be worth a thousand words here though...
