So this job is the 2nd vehicle for this client. The first being a Callaway C6 corvette I did a couple years back. I was originally supposed to do the Corvette again this summer but he traded up to the F430 and that`s where this journey begins!

He had a appointment with me right after 4th of July. The car had to go into the shop for a CEL mid June. Long story short he had to reschedule due to not getting the car back until mid August. So I had to push him off until mid September due to my schedule and my PPF guys schedule.

So the day comes and I get started on the car. The plan was to correct the paint, coat it, wheels off service, have my ppf guy install Xpel PPF on the nose and call it a day. I got the correction done and drove it up to my guys shop. Fun drive BTW! Then I get a phone call which wasn`t pleasant. There were a couple of old strips of ppf right behind the front wheels that needed to come off to film the whole nose. He got one side off but unfortunately some clear/paint peeled off on the other side. Client was notified and totally understood. So now I had to go pick the car back up, drop it at my body shop to have it fixed ( My ppf guy took the hit on it as it was his issue). Because of where it peeled so close to the passenger side door that door needed to be blended as well. Also due to the one piece fender design where both fenders are connected both fenders needed to be done. Luckily the hood and front bumper didn`t need to be touched and the color was a dead match.

Finally after coming back from the shop I was able to tidy up the new paint and send back to have the xpel finished. Then it came back to me for all the coating work! What a job! HAHAHA

Very nice. Albeit stressful when you had to make that phone call to your customer.

Holy smokes. Great result but stories like this remind me that being a pro is a whole different animal than a skilled weekend warrior.

Yeah but it comes with the territory!

Yup and it shows no matter how good you are things can happen and its all how you handle it to get it taken care of!

Wow! Beautiful work. As for getting it done with the hassles...that must have been a horrible experience for the PPF guy. Either way the end it came out awesome!

Yeah needless to say he wasn't too thrilled and TBH I felt horrible about it. And even more horrible that my client has had nothing but issues the past few months with this car. He is such a good guy, laid back older gentleman and a Vietnam vet who loves cars and trusts me.

Justin, that's straight up honest and fully professional service! Frustrating...sure but a problem was discovered, corrected after full disclosure and communication with the client and a final result delivered to his full satisfaction I am sure!

Outstanding example of pure professionalism, my friend. That car is unbelievable now.

Thanks Paul! It's how I and the guys I associate with operate. I wouldn't have it any other way. Not putting my name on it without being honest.

Client picked up this morning and was thrilled.

Thanks bud. Agreed. Luckily we didn't have to deal with an irate client.
