Greetings all,

Would someone familiar with Zaino Z16 Tire Gloss kindly recommend an AG product that is similar? If memory serves, a DG product was previously mentioned in this regard (maybe DG 253?) but I was unsuccessful in finding anything with the "Search" function. I would like to make AG my one stop for detailing supplies if possible, and this is the only current exception.

TIA,

Chuck

Duragloss Tire & Rubber Mat Dressing (TMD) #253 (https://www.autogeek.net/duragloss-tire---rubber-mat-dressing.html)

I scroll down the list on shop by brand on the start page of AGO. Chose the brand of the product and then scroll down the page till I find what I'm looking for.

Have no experience with Zaino Z16. What look on the tires are you after? There could be other products that could suit you. DG 253 seems to be leaving a new look on the tires and are quite durable. One that is popular and lasts long if you use there tire cleaner to deep clean the tire first. Is the Tufshine Tire Clearcoat. Could be an option too.

TUF SHINE Tire Appearance Kit, tuf shine tire dressing, permanent tire shine, permanent tire sealant (https://www.autogeek.net/tuf-shine-tire-appearance-kit.html)

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for the new look, and for a "stand alone" product that doesn't require a lot of preparation. DG 253 sounds about right from what you describe. I'll give it a try. Thanks again!

Looks like #321 is also NSD, which is a plus over #253. Thanks Bob!

You’re welcome.

I’m in agreement with
your NSD assessment.)

I've only used the older Z-16, which I couldn't tell apart from DG 253. I understand later they changed the Z-16 from the thin, white, lemony-smelling liquid to something else, which might be closer to DG 321 (which I've never used).

It used be to considered that DG253 was the same as the Z-16. Back when everyone speculated that DG actually made and mixed many of the Zaino products.

I used 321 and still have some left. The look was nice after application but did not last very long for me as the blooming would start within 2 weeks. That said I switched back to 253. The 253 lasts at least a month in Arizona where 321 at it's best was 2 weeks.

I forgot to mention Duragloss 531 has a longer cycle than 321 but I think autogeek stopped stocking it.

Is there any advantage to a NSD aside from its being body shop safe?
